Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She has written fifteen books, and she is co-founder of The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is a writer TV personality, philanthropist, as well as the proprietor of the independently free online news publication The Huffington Post. Her birthplace was in Greece and relocated to England at age sixteen. At Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA in economics. When she was 21, she became the president of the renowned debating society The Cambridge Union' and was the first non-native student in the history of Cambridge University to be elected. As a conservative syndicated blogger following her graduation, she was able to be an influential voice for the Huffington Post. It was possible for her to recruit numerous prominent contributors to post their opinions regarding politics and culture. Arianna rose to fame when she made the decision to run as an independent candidate for the California recall election to replace the Governor Davis. Alongside this, she directed an Detroit project that promoted the use of fuel-efficient cars. Forbes named her one of the "most important woman" in the media industry, placing her at 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 most important media figures in 2009. AOL purchased The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. Then she was appointed the President of the AOL media group. The group included several AOL-owned properties, such as Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, and Elli the other, both of whom are management consultants and journalists. Although she had a close relationship to her father, her connection with her mother shaped the course of her entire life. Even as a young girl she displayed leadership qualities that she's still known for. Her move to England came at sixteen to further her studies and then enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. She enrolled in the Cambridge Union college debate society during her time at college, where she was the third female to be elected president. In 1972, she earned an MA in Economics. The career of TV host and journalist began after she graduated. Also, with Bernard Levin she appeared on an edition of Face the music.
